By 18 she was drinking two bottles of wine each night and when she was 24 she felt so alone she tried to kill herself. If you want to continue listening to your favourite music in 10 or 15 years time, the advice from health professionals is to turn the volume down. Doctors say a growing number of young people are experiencing damage to their hearing from using personal music players. Tonight’s Health Focus looks at how a special advisory body is recommending tougher regulations to control sound on these audio players.
